True worshippers are a rare find.
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeks such to worship him.
Today, people worship pastors, careers, celebrities, brand names, their past, money, gadgets, cars, kids, clothes, food, goddesses, exercise, body image...have I came down your street?
When something or someone is true, it is genuine, authentic and real.
True worshippers know who they worship and why. We don’t do crowds. We not only know the name of God, we know his character and we posture ourselves accordingly.
This verse states true worshippers, worship in spirit which means this kind of worship is not earthly, external or pretend for a short while. For the true worshipper, this is a lifestyle, not a holiday or Sunday-only thing. This isn’t about a feeling or words that we think God wants to hear. This is a heart issue. Where is your heart? Who is it with?
Lastly, the Father is seeking the true worshipper. How can it be that God, the creator of the heavens and who makes the earth his footstool has to find not just anyone, but a true worshipper to worship him? Selah. Think on that.
The hour is here. Will he find you?
