Kingdom Etiquette 101
Remember to say, “thank you.”
There were ten people in the Bible who had leprosy (now called Hansen’s disease). Jesus was passing through a certain village and when they saw Jesus, they cried out for mercy. Jesus saw them, gave them instruction and the Bible says, “And it came to pass, that as they went, they were cleansed”.
One of them, after seeing he was healed, turned around and glorified God, giving thanks. Jesus told him, “Arise, go thy way, thy faith has made thee whole.”
Nine were healed, but ONE was made whole.
Nine were healed, but ONE was made whole emotionally, spiritually, financially, psychologically and mentally in addition to the physical healing...all because he responded to Jesus with a “thank you.”
No one has to do anything for us, but if they do, we should say thank you, etiquette 101. God doesn’t have to bless, grant favor or mercy, but He does. The least we can do is give Him thanks. Remember to give credit where it’s due and say thank you.
What are you thankful to Jesus for today? Whom do you need to take a step back and say thank you to?
