A Fragrant Blend, Holy and Acceptable
Updated: May 27
It's not that we are better, but we are forgiven, which makes us holy and acceptable. Yes, we are the elect of God, holy and beloved.
To be holy and acceptable means...
To be the elect of God is to live a surrendered life. Surrender meaning:
Relinquish your ways for His
Give up your life for a life in Him
Scented Beauty Tip:
Surrender all. Not some, not half, all.
When you ask Jesus to come into your heart and be your Savior and Lord, you enter into a surrendered life. You make Him Lord over your body, your career, your family, finances, behavior, your mouth, etc.
It’s no longer I who live, but Christ living in me. In Galatians 2:20, “The life I live, I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me,” explains it perfectly.
We traded filthy rags of sin and death for the riches of salvation and eternal life.
Surrendering to God is knowing He will catch us when we fall, it’s understanding we are forgiven and free, it’s relinquishing our way of doing life for His will and His plan that only bring us hope and a future.
The world thinks of surrender as weakness and losing. Don’t be deceived. It’s the exact opposite with God. We gave up the wrong things for the right ones. What things we thought we gained were or had become a loss for Christ. However, everything and everyone we lost was a gain for and to Christ just so we could be found in Him (Philippians 3:7-10).
In a surrendered life, you lose nothing but gain all for the excellence of just knowing Him. Hallelujah! Being surrendered means being holy and beloved. Set apart and especially loved.
Holy isn’t some word describing an old, mean church lady that tells you the dress is too short or you can’t chew gum in the sanctuary. To be holy is to simply be obedient and set apart. You recognize you need God.
Secondly, surrendered means to be His beloved. He loved us first and loves us unconditionally. We are daughters of the King and having a position as Daddy’s girl, comes with family privileges like peace, care, provision and knowing Dad will fight our battles.
What,if anything haven’t you surrendered God? Why?
